Lists: Viewing and Printing
This dialog provides access to a large variety of output list, like yacht lists, race results, series results and many more.
You can open as many windows of this type as you want and configure each of them differently to meet your individual demands.
Furthermore, you can leave these windows open and intermediatelly switch to any other dialog to change data. As you return you should actualize the screen by pressing the "refresh button".
A set of interactive selection boxes is found in the left column: Here the type of output is to be defined.
The dialog splits into three sub pages
Shows the list that is generated
Choose the yacht's datafields to be listed and adjust the layout of the output
Lets you add individual header and/or footer text onto your printout.
Needs to be activated on the "Settings" page.
Yachts lists
This provides you lists of the yachts as they are registered in the yachts dialog.
You can choose between:
- a complete list of all the yachts ,
- a listing split into scoring classes,
- a listing of scoring classes in the order of the time of their start (only those classes whose starting time is explicitly defined will be listed).
There are several choices to sort the list.
If you select of the name of the helsman as criterion it might be usefull to know same details of the sorting mechanism. Please read sorting by the name.
Finishing Times
This provides you a listing of the finishing times.
This means the order (and the finishing time) in which the yachts passed the finishing line. It should not be mixed up with the race result option, see below.
Results of a single race
This provides results of a single race.
The option "intermediate result" allows to retrieve a result although not all of the registered yachts have a proper finishing time (yet). Instead of an error message about the missing yachts these will be listed at the end of the result list with the note "not yet finished".
The options allow you to receive a list of
- all registered yachts (independend of any class definition).
This list is calculated by the Yardstick handicap or as a class result depending on the
switch "type of the regatta" in the global settings dialog.
This list is calculated classwise, depending on the particular specifications given with
Results of a race series
and building the race result out of the sum of the points for each yacht.
Same as with the single race result you have simplified access to a result of all registered yachts or the results by scoring classes.
For the race series results you can also define a variable number of how many discards shall be included.
Selecting a set of races for a series result
Any set of races can be used to calculate a series result.
The selection is done
either by selecting the races with the mouse (after pressing the button right of the edit field)
or by entering the races in the type
"1-5",
"1, 3, 5",
"7-10, 15-17".
ORCint-Handicap Calculation
The ORCint-Handicap calculation allows to generate lists showing the ORCint-handicaps just as they will be used in the calculation but already before the race has taken place.
The set up of the list is similar to the race result calculation except that you won't find any results on the list and VelumNG will not complain about any missing result data.
The proper ORCint-course specification of course has to be set in advance.
Scratch Sheets
The Scratch Sheets create one sheet of paper per yacht (!!) showing the yacht in her scoring class with the handicaps printed as differences to the other yacht in the class.
